Happy From Home nursery is a well established nursery and has been providing high quality childcare for more than 20 years. It was formerly called Broadoak Day Nursery.

The nursery is open for 51 weeks a year from 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday closing for one week over the Christmas period. The nursery is also closed on bank holidays.

The nursery is registered to cater for 32 children with nine of these places being for babies (children under two years old). We have three rooms catering for the various age ranges which are divided as follows:-

Baby Room - caters for nine children aged 0-2 years;
Toddler Room - caters for eight children aged 2-3 years;
Pre-School Room - caters for fifteen children aged 3-5 years;

The pre-school children have the benefit of the large room on the ground floor with direct access the outdoors. The babies are across the corridor from the pre-school on the ground floor with a lovely spacious room that is brightly decorated and the toddlers have the benefit of two large rooms on the first floor. Each room is operated by a fully qualified member of staff under the direct supervision of the Manager.

We have an open door policy so please feel free to come and view the nursery at any time throughout the day between 7.30am and 5.30pm. The children have their lunch at around 11.15am and thereafter have a sleep so if you choose to view at these times please be aware that you will not see any activities going on at this time, However you are welcome to come and have a look around.

We operate a Keyperson system and upon commencement each child is allocated a keyperson who will observe, assess and plan for your individual child. We follow the EYFS guidelines and ensure that each child progresses throughout the six areas of learning and reaches their early learning goals before leaving us to go to school. The six areas of learning are:-

  • Creative development

  • Physical development

  • Personal, social and emotional development

  • Communication, language and literacy

  • Problem solving, reasoning and numeracy

  • Knowledge and understanding of the world.

We receive regular support from our Teacher Advisor and Quality Improvement Officer at Liverpool City Council.
